Congratulations to the winners of the HCC Disc Golf Club putting contest at this year's Back to School Blast!

Dexter King sunk a 35 foot putt to win the men's.

Fran Justice sunk a 15 foot putt to win the women's.

Second Meeting Thursday, Oct. 4, 1 PM

The  HCC Disc Golf Club meeting will be held on the 1st Thursday of every month. The second meeting is held on Oct. 4 at 1:00 pm in room 330 

HCC Disc Golf Club Lives!

We are back for the 2012-13 school year!  We will be announcing our first meeting shortly.  If you're interested in joining our club, please contact club President Ricky Auler at rdauler@mail.haywood.edu or club advisor Matt Heimburg at mheimburg@haywood.edu. 

HCC Disc Golf Club Hiatus

The HCC Disc Golf club is currently on hiatus for the remainder of the semester so our club members can focus on their studies and prepare for their finals.

We'll be back at the start of the spring semester! With any luck we hope to host an Ice bowl Disc Golf Tournament in late January or early February. We'll post details here as things take shape.

Disc Golf Club Establishes Regular Meeting Times for Fall Semester

The disc golf club will meet at the following times weekly for the remainder of the fall 2011 semester:

Thursday at 2:30

Friday at 1

All are welcome, no experience needed, disc available to those who need them. Please contact us at hccdgc@gamil.com if you'd like more information.

Friday Meet & Play 9.16.11

The HCC Disc Golf Club will be meeting at hole to play every Thursday at 2:30 and every Friday at 1:30. HCC DGC's first Saturday meeting at the Waynesville Recreation Center will take place 9/24 at noon. Please contact us at HCCDGC@gmail.com if you have questions.

Back to School Blast Putting Contest

We had a good turn out for our first putting contest today.  We had a visit from both HCC's President, Dr. Rose Johnson, and our soon-to-be named bobcat mascot.  Thanks to everyone that gave it their best shot!  Mark your calendars now for the next HCC DGC Putting Contest during the Jammin' at the Mill Pond event on October 8.

We'll be out again this Friday at 1 p.m. at hole one for our meet and play!

Putting Competition

We'll be hosting a putting competition at HCC's Back-to-School Blast on Wednesday, 9/14, from 11 am- 1 pm.  Entry will be free for HCC students and staff. 


Prizes will be awarded to each of the longest putts in the following categories:

Women under 20
Men under 20
Men 20-30
Women 20-30
Men 30+
Women 30+
Staff/Faculty

Grand prize winner for longest overall putt!!

Meeting Friday, 9/9

The HCC Disc Golf club will be meeting this Friday, 9/9, at hole 1 on HCC's campus.  This is an open meeting and all are welcome.  

First, we'll discuss the leadership roles that still need to be filled in order for our club to operate and some of the upcoming events that we currently have planned for the club. 

After we meet, we play!  As always, we have a disc for you if you don't have one for yourself!!   Please join us!
